Dr. Alan Grant in Jurassic Park is a major incarnation of what I'm gonna call the Middle Class Knowledge Worker Competency Mythology Hero. We'll call him McKnowhe for short. Dr. McKnowhe isn't the strongest or toughest hero, and he isn't rich. But he's quick thinking, fast on his feat, and a walking encyclopedia about his field & probably a few other things.
