the protoflux rv32im emulator just rendered it's first mandelbrot set :3 it took almost an hour because this dumbass copied the wrong file and it wasn't actually using M instructions lol #resonite #riscv #vr

Computering! On RISC-V! 😀 (from the SpacemiT K3 technical overview) If geekbench results can be trusted, the 16-core K3 has twice the single-core score compared to our 64-core Milk-V Pioneer and about the same multi-core score. Seems like those RISC-V K3 machines with 32GB ram is sold out everywhere. Would love to have a couple of those for building Alpine Linux packages. Are there anyone who could help us with getting one or two of those? Preferable the pico-ITX. #AlpineLinux #RISCV

I'ts been a fairly long time since i've used this acc but one of my friends told me I should promote a project i've been working on, so... yeah! I wrote a 3ds homebrew that boots a full linux environment in a risc v emulator in a few c files and only aboout ~170kb of code including all of the builtin nonessential example stuff like a js environment, fizzbuzz, cli doom, and more. it's called 3DS-CLI, and it can be installed from universal updater or built from source and manually installed, and it's all open source cause free software is awesome! https://github.com/cmdada/3ds-cli please interact with the github repo if you like it! #RISCV #3ds #Homebrew #Linux #Emulation

When we originally created #CHERIoT, we added an instruction to make accessing globals uniform with respect to the rest of RISC-V. We fairly quickly realised it wasn’t a great design, but the toolchain changes required to eliminate it took a while. We’ve finally done it and I spent a bit of time this week writing up our journey. Removing this instruction is something we always planned to do before rebasing on the upcoming RV32YE base. #CHERI #RISCV
