@icing@chaos.social If this was a commercial operation, I would say that your security rotation is severely understaffed. Six people minimum, with regularly scheduled shifts.

@maartje@blahaj.social @dominicstucki@urbanists.social Strasbourg arguably has a RER now, called REME. Plus the Ortenau S-Bahn.

I managed to submit my abstract to @FrOSCon@bonn.social 2026! Just in time, the Call for Papers is open until May 23.

@maartje@blahaj.social Did you know that ... SNCF did not purchase the rights to the image! At some point, they just stopped applying the picture, accidentally creating the livrée fantôme in all silver.

https://www.watson.ch/schweiz/interview/113926290-10-millionen-schweiz-sp-meyer-und-svp-dettling-im-streitgespraech

@wordshaper@weatherishappening.network @mhoye@cosocial.ca There was this internship in 2001 where I replaced AIX on an obsolete RS/6000 with a hacked up Linux and ran a DNS server on it. That was all the experience I had with AIX.
The RS/6000 has a PowerPC 604e (PReP). At some point, I realized that the office printer *also* had a PPC 604e but a faster one 🤣

@wordshaper@weatherishappening.network @mhoye@cosocial.ca I feel vindicated for having stayed with #NetBSD for the last 15+ years.

2.11BSD, released 35 years ago, gets the biggest patch ever!
Apparently, the patch file is so big that vi on the PDP-11 cannot deal with it 🤣

@jperkin I filed https://github.com/bsiegert/BulkTracker/issues/97 for supporting this report format. One thing I noticed is that there is no link to the machine-readable report, only to report.html. Could that be added?

I just released netbsd-gce-0.4.2, with some minor bugfixes and updates.

Finally managed to get a good setup for #pkgsrc updates with @jperkin@federate.me.uk's "bob" instead of using pkgrrxx or pkg_rolling-replace.
What is nice about this is that builds are in a sandbox, and build failures do not leave the system in an inconsistent state.

@mirabilos The only way I can explain it is that she misremembered the layout of King's Cross station.
