If you have trouble finding it in the app store, try adding a space between Helix & Notes. For some reason that seems to work when the no-space way only works sometimes. This should resolve itself in the next 24 hours.

As every summer, some part of my vacation is spent on turning some knobs of my note-taking process. For 2026, this means adding individual notes for ”focus claims”, ideas/thoughts/questions I find myself returning to over and over again. The plan is to use them as link targets for notes I take when reading/watching/listening/discussing, recording wether a not supports or refutes the ”focus claim”.

Wednesday marked 2 years of me using Obsidian. This is the state of my vault now. I still get a dopamine kick every time a node appears or a link is created. So calming.
Anyway. I'm currently at 3015 notes, 12980 links, 664 123 words, and 399.57 MB.
I guess I need to clean up here and there...

- desktop launchers (lmk if these dont work on your OS of choice)
- emoji render bugfix
- panics (at the disco) are handled gracefully
- errors dumped to console upon crashes for easier bug reporting
