"Mill District" in the news— We got a an email from the Guthrie Theater downtown, warning us that city-owned parking ramp prices would jump to $50 this weekend, owing to a spectacle at nearby Chicago Avenue Taxpayer Stadium. "Please note that the WWE event at U.S. Bank Stadium may lead to increased traffic and parking demand in the Mill District." Fifty bucks parking? For worldly wrestling entertainment? In a football stadium? There's a workaround for early-arriving theatergoers who enjoy idling in traffic but we'll just take the bus. $2 round-trip fare. N.B. KEEPING AI CLEAN I love AI. Used wisely, it’s a great tool, but it is not an oracle, a guru, or a substitute for discernment. It can help me think, reflect, question, write, simplify, and notice where I’m tangled. It can also produce very convincing nonsense, especially when spirituality, conspiracy, certainty, and mystery get mixed together. For me, the safeguard is that I have instructed my AI to use A Course in Miracles as the guiding thought system in our conversations. That means the conversation is continually weighed against forgiveness, peace, kindness, clarity, humility, and the undoing of fear. Not infallible. Facts still need checking. AI can be a marvellous mirror. EU needs to take a stand on Play Integrity. If app devs enforce Play Integrity, this means only Google Certified devices can use banking, etc. This excludes all alternative mobile OS. No #postmarketOS, no #SailfishOS, no Android derivatives #GrapheneOS etc. You don't need Play Integrity. If someone is capable to install or use alternative OS, they sure know what to install or not install, it is on their responsibility. Using non-root but bootloader unlocked device (otherwise can't use alternative OS) does not make my device less secure. On the contrary, it is using an up to date OS with the latest security patches. this morn i decided to really inject that extra frisson of edgy excitement into my already living-life-large-ness that's right, i did it i actually did it 😮 but now, i think finally i've pushed it too far 😳 i can no longer discern actual reality, i've totes jumped onto the doolally train 🤯 once i felt confident i knew the right way, but now i'm riven with uncertainty 🤷 paper hanging from the roll adjacent to the wall, or opposite from it? 😱 they now both look wrong, & so i'm floundering in an ocean of surrealism help me, obiwan, you're the only hope 🥺 #whimsy #nonsense 🤪
