Ces Crépuscules du Cerveau -
Quand nulle Lune ne se manifeste -
Nulle Étoile - au-dedans - ne perce -
Les plus Braves - tâtonnent un peu -
Et parfois heurtent un Arbre
En plein Front - mais à mesure
Qu'ils apprennent à voir -
Ou bien la Ténèbre s'allège -
Ou quelque chose dans la vue
À la Minuit s'adapte -
Et à la Vie va presque droite.

These twilights of the mind –
