Every Engineer clenches their jaw at the word "flattening" at this point. "Compliance Deadline: To prevent Apple from pulling the Patreon app off the iOS App Store, Patreon required all creators on legacy billing to migrate to subscription billing (with a final deadline of November 1, 2026)." The missed point is that CEOs communicate layoffs to both employees and shareholders. One of them influences the stock price, which in turn affects the CEO's bonus. Sad days. Layoffs at the company I work for. Close teammates and friends. What a ahitty thing for them. And I have survivor’s guilt. It’s strange to feel sad for others having lost their jobs while concurrently feeling grateful you still have one. Capitalism isn’t the answer.
