Saw a post on reddit aaking about the worst accidents people had ever seen. Realised >90% of them involved cars.
Low effort post but I found it interesting. We treat human life as irreverrantly as the aztec empire did.

Según íbamos a entrar, un coche entró a gran velocidad en la acera bloqueando el paso de peatones y frenó bruscamente. Mi hija se asustó mucho y se echó a llorar.
Un hombre salió del coche con un bebé de unos 8 meses en brazos y se fue corriendo a dejarlo. Le llamé la atención pero gruñó y me ignoró.
La guardería no para de decir que no se aparqué ahí, pero da igual... Sigue sucediendo y algún día habrá un susto gordo.

At that time, electricity generation was the biggest GHG emitter, since then, electricity generation has majorly decarbonised, but cars are still getting bigger and emissions are still rising... Added to which, e-cars are putting a strain on electricity grids because they are also massively oversized, and so keeping the pressure to retain fossil fuelled generation...
