#BostonWeekend, a🧵 for 🫵 - Sep 18-20th, the last weekend of Summer 2026. Please boost to loop in our new #Boston #Massachusetts neighbors. Rain Sunday, almost 80 Friday but cooler after, break out a light jacket for 50-64 temps on Sat. With semesters in full swing again after the Allston Christmas moving season, everything is happening fast and at all at once. Enjoy, enjoy your #NewEngland, lets get to events worth the trip, pow! 1/x #Poll Q: fave gear for 60F temps outside?

#BostonWeekend hey if you're new, every week I read a couple events calendars, and make a thread of what looks good because you're busy with, gestures, 'all this'. I like nurturing our local #community - glue work keeps our local #fediverse scene vibrant. I don't get paid to promote events nor do I use AI to compile the thread - this is 100% stubborn subjective elder millennial output, I try to make it not suck. @ me with events I've missed or feedback✌️

#shamelessSelfPromotion time! Amongst all the many many things happening this #BostonWeekend, one of them is the #FluffFestival! I’ll be selling bags and stickers on the northwest side of Bow Market (not sure exactly where yet). Fluff has a new layout this year (wooo more space!) so make sure you check out the whole thing! Tons of vendors, live music, games for all ages. Buy a fluffernutter to support SHS Band or try one of the many fluffy treats from local restaurants! What’s at my booth? Retroreflective fluff totes and bike pockets, fanny packs, reflective stickers for bike helmets, and a whole lot of nerdy, nerdy bags. Come say hi! It’s a hella long day and I love meeting pocket friends. FLUFF. GO TO FLUFF UNION SQUARE, SOMERVILLE SATURDAY, SEPT. 19 1-5P https://www.flufffestival.com/ Come early for the best selection, things sell out! Also, Somerville is very aggressive about clearing the street at the end of the festival, so sales end PROMPTLY at 5p. #somervilleMA #handmade #ShopSmall #ShopLocal

#bostonWeekend Fri MUSIC whatever you do, don't do a search for 'wang unleashed' if you're at work, ok? #AliceCooper and #Aerosmith fans rejoice with this supergroup event thing? I'm not 100% clear if they're playing or if this is a film screening with the director and some of the folks in it. https://www.bochcenter.org/events/detail/hollywood-vampires #bostonMusic #Vampire #JohnnyDepp #boston

#bostonWeekend aside: i typed 'google' as a verb for the previous post, but changed it to 'search' since google's search is hella crap these days. Who knew that they'd approach de-genericizing their brand by making what was once their core product into something that sucks. Great job, team!

And not just cyclists! (Unless it simply means people who can ride a bike.) Do you care about air quality? Like to dance? Want to build community? This FRIDAY 6/26. Group rides like “critical mass” are so chill and yet powerful in my experience. Definitely recommend going a couple times if you haven’t b4. Volunteer marshalls make sure motorists steer clear of the group. There’s often music and fun bikes. Dance party at the end of this one :) #BostonWeekend #Boston #CambridgeMA
