"Global Protests for Dr. Abu Safiya Meanwhile, demonstrations demanding the release of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, took place on Saturday in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, and Italy. Protesters carried Palestinian flags and called for the immediate release of Abu Safiya and all Palestinian detainees held in Israeli prisons. In Belfast, activists gathered in the city center in response to international solidarity appeals. In Milan, demonstrators highlighted reports that Abu Safiya remains in solitary confinement, has been denied adequate medical treatment, and has been subjected to torture while in Israeli custody.
