Will be harder to create the blanket effect though but if you use a little guillotine cigar chopper in the poor smurfs it could add to the political taste of the cocktail.

Just watched Starship Troopers for the first time. I found it very good, especially in today’s context.

It is interesting though how back then accusations of being a neo-nazi movie tanked its reputation. Word of mouth made people not go see it.

Today, It feels like people would just enjoy a movie about a militaristic government sending its young and brightest to fight a holy war with absolutely to preparation and complete lack of humanity…

My parents don’t like heat pumps because they find the exchanger part of the unit you need to install outside ugly…

I had to tell them they don’t all need to have the exchanger outside but it does make sense in Parisian cramped units where the gas boiler isn’t necessary in a room with a wall to the outside.

@blaseblazenost@social.vivaldi.net I guess you bring up a very good point. After doing some reading, it looks like LXDE is pretty much dead indeed and efforts have now moved to LXQt. I’ll consider it if BF runs into RAM issues.

LXQt is supported and available from the installer. https://wiki.cachyos.org/installation/desktop_environments/ I didn’t dig much deeper than that. Would LXQt use even less ressources (I.e ram) ?

Spent the day installing #CachyOS on my BF's laptop. Picked LXDE as desktop environment.

We had issues with #Linux Mint XFCE that was performing very poorly when running the one steam game he wants to play.

Hopefully Cachy is as lightweight as they advertise and this time around, #Pharaoh (remastered) will work just as well as on Windows 10, if not better.

Today me and my friends took Bart to go to the east bay a ride our bikes for 30miles around Orinda area.

Stopped a Gregoire's on the way back, a delicious sandwich and salad place in Berkley. The vegan fried chicken is a must!! Highly recommend it.

Taking Bart for a bike ride on Saturday morning was surprisingly very pleasant. It also enabled us to start and end a different points (Orinda and Downtown Berkley)

Is there any transit agency that does a sort of group discount? Because it would have been much cheaper to drive, despite the gas prices...

In the mean time, I’ve been working hard on playing around with #shaders in #MagicaVoxel

I’ve actually been using #AI tools for this. I know Mastodon is pretty anti AI but this exercise made me understand why all my software engineer friends can’t spend a day without it.

It is genuinely helpful for debugging and checking language specifics. GLSL debugging can be very obscure, AI helps.

However, I can absolutely see how #vibecoding is destroying companies. I have to be vigilant. The AI is telling me its intent but I can often read that the code doesn’t do what it thinks it does…

I submitted yesterday an application to a very prestigious art school in Paris for a masters program.

The imposter syndrome has never been stronger. I really tried my best in but I still feel like my application is just… meh.

It’s funny how I had super strong imposter syndrome when I was working as an engineer as well. I guess it will always be there.
