@bricked@tilde.zone CSD but no worries, are only for the core apps I made with libsingularity (GTK4): terminal, file manager, calc and editor. Who will pack the DE can opt for any other stack like the GNOME apps or whatever =)

I was talking about my and system apps but I already wrote the system ones like files, terminal, text editor and calculator and I am working on a store, the only app that will still use libadwaita is Bottles (for now, actually I am working on integrating it deeply in the OS directly, but that's another thing, also Bottles Next is a thing). Like I do not like to be forced on a way, I am not forcing themes in other apps.

@moshimotsu@floss.social I was just tired of bloated desktops, I wanted something modern that stays under 200MB. It’s built natively for Wayland using labwc under the hood to avoid reinventing the wheel, with no plans for Xorg support. I love the GNOME workflow but I’m fed up with the libadwaita-only direction and the feeling that any modification is an impurity. This is also a good playground, where I can do anything without being forced into someone else's design guidelines. Oh and I love experimenting 🫠

It's not GNOME, it's not KDE, it's not the new Vanilla OS DE, it's new, uses <100M of memory, is accessible (for real) and uses GTK4 (but not libadwaita).

Just experimenting with ABRoot on elementary OS.

I had to make some changes since the golang version is very old but I was able to start a transaction and run APT on it!
