@moelassus@mastodon.social I have done the migration when I moved from #pfsense to #opnsense . It was pretty easy. I work often in #json so converting custom config options wasn't an issue.

The biggest annoyance I find is there is no way to expire a single current lease without restarting kea dhcp daemon via the GUI.

@grueproof@from.asolitarycabin.org @chris@mastodon.chriswiegman.com Take a look at https://open-vsx.org/ for codium plugins. See if they fit your needs.

@chris Could also be a weird allergic reaction to something. My wife once had 'heart attack'-like behavior due to eating hazelnut and having an unknown hazelnut allergy.

@RTP@fosstodon.org I LOVE #hexchat. It was my goto #IRC client for years. The maintainer abandoned it in Feb of 2024. See - https://hexchat.github.io/news/2.16.2.html I jumped to #TheLounge because it behaves well on mobile and desktop and maintains connection when I'm not actually using it because I selfhost it 24x7.

@RTP@fosstodon.org Don't use #HexChat #XChat or #BitchX. They haven't been developed in years, possibly decades. They are prone to application and security issues. I'm not saying don't use #IRC. Just don't use those clients. Since I #selfhost , I use #TheLounge for my #IRCClient.

@abosio look and see what PCI address is causing the error. Also, try pulling hardware and see what makes the error go away to isolate a problem part.

@abosio PCI(e) bus errors aren't usually caused by bad SATA cables. SATA cables usually cause transmission timeouts and then the SATA controller resets the port once it gives up. This would be true for a bad SATA drive.

@Seldon@fosstodon.org @kdkorte@fosstodon.org I agree. User acceptance/training is the toughest part of an #operatingsystems change. Not just from #windows to #linux but even between major windows versions. When I was primarily a windows user, whenever a new version came out, I'd switch to the legacy UI just so I didn't have to relearn how to do things I already knew how to do. The same applies in a windows-to-linux migration. Never made any sense to me to change the UI without some obvious gain.

@prokoudine @Le_bottin_des_jeux_linux @GIMP If it still works, why update the code. Obviously #gimp 3.0 was going to break the plugin, so the dev released a needed update.

@danimrich@mastodon.social @jwildeboer@social.wildeboer.net While I agree with you, I see why they won't. Unique features are the lifeblood of products like Bose and Sonos. Open-sourcing the features as it comes out is handing lots of R&D to their competitors. Personally, once a product is EoLed and has external dependencies, companies should be required by law to release API specs so the devices can be maintained.
