Awesome, the appointments that they sent me reminders for, don't appear in their system. Luckily the vet can see them anyway.
Short on time and locations this morning after a week resting my achilles from workouts and just easy running. It was back to where my #running journey started doing couch25k round my local park, but this time for a Mona fartlek (2x90s, 4x60s, 4x30s, 4x15s).
Happy with the paces and didn't get chased by any of the dogs also trying to beat the lastest #UKHeatwave
I now get to trap and transport 2 cats for their annual vaccinations.

If you look at my mile splits (and not the km ones) a nicely progressive #parkrun effort at my NENDY of Southwick Country Park. Almost 3 laps on rocky mostly flat trail, managed to drag myself up to 14th place overall and 1st lady. 82nd different location, 9th 'S' location, and a date bingo to boot.
New NENDY is Shepton Mallet.

On the tourist trail because my #parkrun isn't on today (balloons). Obviously I'm here ridiculously early (they did say the car park fills up quickly) so how am I filling my time? By cleaning the inside of my windscreen, obviously.
Ugh, really getting tired of the trope that neurotypical people apparently can't be empathic, or have principles that they'll stand by. It's lazy. If you want to reference sociopaths or psychopaths, say that. It's as boring and false to say 'all neurotypical people...' as it is to say 'all neurodiverse people...'. As yes, I'm aware that this might come across as 'not all men', but there's not really a way round this (other than recognising that it may sound like whining from what's assumed to be a majority who have the privileges of living in a world seemingly designed for them). But I just don't like lazy stereotyping, whichever way it's travelling.
Chased up the garden waste bin, they couldn't process the direct debit because it needed the address writing on it two more times. Resent and fingers crossed this might actually result in a bin (just as well I chased).

Dear gods, someone just posted on the street WhatsApp group that they'd found a driving licence and left it on a wall. The address on the licence is for a couple of doors down (and now we all know the driver's full name, address and date of birth). Anyone need an age verification ID?

We did end up getting about 15 minutes of actual rain, but I was tracing pattern pieces (just another billionty to go, then I can cut them out - of paper).
The vet appears to have automated the cats' annual vaccinations and have just sent me a reminder. Er, good. I can make those times.

@Florapis@toot.wales you can get home care/respite services to provide in-home care after hospital treatment. No personal experience or recommendations, but might be a good option for care without also having to be out of the home.
A sign of how broken public transport is in the UK. If I wanted to take a bus/coach from Bristol to Reading (which are ~90 miles apart on the M4) I could either go via Heathrow, or be dropped off at a park and ride miles outside Reading town centre. That journey would take 90 minutes and cost £12-£16. I could take a train direct into Reading city centre, which would take just over an hour and cost £37-94 (depending on off-peak vs peak). Or I could drive the 90 miles in personal comfort at a time of my choosing currently for free as my EV has been charged from my solar panels, or for a non-EV at a cost of ~£12 (based on petrol at 169p per litre and fuel consumption of 50mpg).
The bus is comparable cost-wise and time-wise, until you factor in onward travel from the random park and ride you get dropped at (plus any costs of getting to the departure point). Oh, and there are only 3 departures a day.

@hattom@mastodon.social the bakery section is a bonus, but the extra distance (plus a set of stairs and hill on the way back) may be a deal breaker. I'll have to learn the layout to make sure I'm doing a comparable shop (as normally I just walk the aisles stopping where I usually pick things up and that's my 'list' - I've just remembered one thing I didn't get).
Tried a weekly shop at Lidl instead of Aldi as they have some better vegetarian options. Came out about the same on price, but the extra 10 minute walk back whilst fully laden is a killer.
Listening to Sounds of the 90s and they're playing Love Fool by The Cardigans. I can taste the Archers & lemonade.

The eyeliner, the low rise but also high cut shorts, the hair, the neon. It is all definitely of its time (as I'm sure the body shaming comments will also be).
Netflix may have introduced a lot of people to the recruitment process of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, but I used to watch Making The Team, which is now available on streaming (from season 8 onwards). We are back in 2009, and oof.

For those not wanting to give The Mirror clicks, it is Andy Woolley, the Reform council leader of East Sussex Council that is threatening MP Helena Dollimore and cafe owner Barry Ashley with the police (and in Ms Dollimore's case the Parliamentary standards committee) for mentioning him by name, as council leader, over the council's decision not to provide meal vouchers for kids over the summer holidays.
Apparently as council leader Andy Woolley doesn't like being singled out. Andy Woolley doesn't like having to answer for decisions made by the council as its leader. Maybe Andy Woolley should have considered what the role of council leader entails when accepting the position.
Maybe Andy Woolley shouldn't use the recent murder of a former MP when trying to suppress free speech and intimidate elected politicians and his own constituents into not criticising the actions of the council he leads.

One of those days where the body laughs and the plans that I've made. The plan in question being 40 minutes at threshold spread over 15/10/15 minute blocks. Struggled my way through the first 15 minutes towards the lower end of the pace bracket, then jogged home.

And this includes the women's game. The ECB could have put funding in place so that the women aren't playing it two completely different tiers #cricket The Hundred has been good for women's cricket. Now imagine if half of the counties weren't literally treated as second class by having to play in a completely different tier (for different pay).
That scramble when it was announced which counties were tier 1 and which were tier 2. Players having to travel across the country from their local team because that's where the better quality of cricket & pay is...

It's worth remembering that the ECB could have poured money into the existing domestic T20 tournament (turning it into a IPL/Big Bash/CPL), maybe relaxing the rules on overseas players, and could have supported #CountyCricket instead of creating a brand new format that nobody else plays (in the hope that they could sell that format worldwide). The Hundred takes domestic players away from their counties during the domestic 50-over tournament (a format that *is* played internationally) and the teams (which don't have strong local support as they're a hodge podge of players which changes every year) have now been sold to businesses so that any profits that are made are going mostly offshore and definitely not back to the counties who actually produce future England cricketers.
And they wonder why the national team can't successfully play even 50 over games, let alone Test matches #cricket

Hardest part so far was converting my banner image from heif to jpg (as I opted to handle the migration on my laptop instead of phone).
In good news my migration appears to be fairly seamless. My filters are working as before just on this new account and most follows and followers have transferred over already. I'll compare again in a few days to try and catch anyone who has fallen through the gaps (and will bridge across to Bluesky once my 7 days is up).
