Great... was about to install Linux next to my Windows install. Got an error that RST is enabled. Looking at how to disable that warns me that it can cause data loss -> me want to make backup: windows doesn't allow me to just backup the C drive... Aaaaaaaaaa. Help appreciated #linux

I just opened a can of worms that had been locked in the depths of my memory's, that I told myself I should never open again.
I think I might regret remembering what it was like back *then*. I always knew I was in a bad place then. I did NOT realize before though how bad it was...

I forgor my Bluetooth headphones at home :( Thankfully I still have my old wired headphones, that were included with my old phone in my backpack. Problem: not even #Fairphone devices have a headphone jack anymore. Solution: Steal the USB C to headphone cable from my car.

Made a Color Blindness Simulator to test, how specific things look to a user that has color blindness.

The newest VS-Code update has broken Code Snippeds in CSS files for me... I need those to work... If I have to type out the CSS for everything like menus manually, that takes ages...
Typing @nav and having vs code paste CSS boilerplate for nav is essential for our companies workflow.

I realy dislike AI search engines.
With traditional index based ones, you'd more or less know, what results are sponsored, and which won the relevance ranking. But with AI search... Who knows what influences have been set on the AI to serve "optimized" results.

I've made some major progress on My in-world wiki viewer in #Resonite. I now call a API, that renders the wiki page to a JPG and then I parse out all the links and display those next to the image.

I love how I can't login on my Windows 10 computer because #Telekom is doing bad peering again and #Microsoft doesn't want to pay Telekom the ransom fee for them not breaking the connection to the users.

Just thought of a realy cool thing one could do with the #steam #frame and #Resonite for streaming other games: Run resonite on the frame just for like V-tubing visuals, stream that to the main PC that's running the other game, feed that both into OBS and send to Twitch...

@pup@yeen.town That's one way of doing it. I'm using the Luminosity of the input as the progress on a ValueGradientDriver 50% and 50.001% are set to white and black. 0 and 100% are set to a very dark / light version of the color. and if it gets close to either 0% saturation or 0/100% value it sets saturation to 0. This works surprisingly well... My last approach needed tons of magic numbers and didn't allow for tinting the text color.

Finaly got around to making a good system for getting a readable text color for basically any background color.
It also doesn't do the boring thing of: luminance > .5 = change color.
So this also tints the text if it has enough contrast to still be readable.

Made a little camera to take uniform pictures of avatars.
Selectively renders only the avatar and adds a nice gradient background behind it. Color is chosen by 1 color picker. That color gets hue shifted a bit up and down to get the 2 colors.
Very janky but it works. #Resonite #Avatar #Camera
