@Mint_Shock@mstdn.plus that is a very elegant approach for generating nicely-contrasting fg/bg colours though :3

@Mint_Shock@mstdn.plus yeah... i mean for what i was doing, i wanted to preserve the RTF text colouring of world names as much as possible, just altering the values as needed to make them visible on a white background

@Mint_Shock@mstdn.plus it involves doing colourspace conversions to CIELAB, there are custom nodes for that in my public folder (resrec:///U-1fC5weIRYkC/R-0AFE894FDFE56B26402A0BDB8AB2C6FEB52CDBBE3BFFD78A87F46C31099BC583)

@Mint_Shock@mstdn.plus Oh yeah, I kinda did a similar thing a while back for my custom world-loading indicator (since it's light theme but a lot of worlds have RTF with light colours in them)

Now officially launching Furvertisements, my completely-unprofitable Flash banner "ad" network. Make silly animations and toys in Adobe Flash, submit them to Furvertisements, and have them randomly appear on each other's Web sites! (There's no invasive tracking, and no actual "advertising"; it's just a fun little thing for #SmallWeb site authors to participate in.)

@cliffwade@infosec.exchange @eobet@oldbytes.space @Mastodon@mastodon.social honestly imo this is kind of ridiculous when there isn't even a way to limit/delete abusive replies, which target you directly. plus, most other software already implements quote posts using regular links (they just check if it's a link to a Fedi post, and display a special link preview if so), so it won't even work to prevent that embedding behaviour if either the OP, quoter, or viewer isn't running Mastodon
