I really like the simplicity of the app and what it does. I'll definitely be writing up a review of this in the coming weeks.

What MacOS app do people use to view storage space on their device? My M4 Mac Mini doesn't have a lot of storage since I got the base model, but I'd love to find an app that breaks it all down for me so I know where my space is being used. #MacOS #MacApps #Mac #Storage

@cyberseckyle@infosec.exchange Nope. I have them saved/bookmarked along with a bunch of others that were suggested. I've just been focusing on apps that I currently use and have been using since I started my MacOS journey. I will get to those others very soon.

@Ronnie@mastodon.social I hear you! I'm the same. I spent 25+ years of my job career in retail/management and fast-food/management(about 5 years) and I hate going to stores unless absolutely necessary. I love the fact that we can have our Walmart order delivered. Saves me in so many ways. LOL

@Ronnie@mastodon.social Exactly! When my dad and I worked for a family owned lumber/hardware store(not owned by our family), we always had Tuesday's and Wednesday's off for that very reason. We did it for 20+ years.

@Ronnie@mastodon.social Right! It's a tough job. It's one I don't miss at all. I could have gone all my life without unloading bags of concrete, pallets of shingles and truck fulls of sheetrock. In fact, my first ever delivery I had to do when I started there was to a huge house on Lake Houston. They had 700+ sheets of sheetrock and 250 boxes of sheetrock mud. I'll never forget that. And yes, we had to put certain amounts in each individual room.

@Ronnie@mastodon.social Same! I'm 55 and couldn't do it any longer, but like I said, glad I got that experience. I also quickly learned roofing isn't for me either. I knew it wasn't from working at the lumber yard, but about 20 years ago I was talked into helping a very good friend who absolutely needed someone that worked hard. All I had to do was move bundles of shingles around on the roof and throw all the old shingles off onto the ground. I HATED IT! Never did it again after the 2nd day.

@Ronnie@mastodon.social Very nice! I have Sunday's and Monday's off and have since I started at Skylight. Bianca has Sunday, Monday and Tuesday off from Amazon, so it works out. Monday's is usually when we venture out in the wild world. LOL

@Ronnie@mastodon.social Personally, very overrated. I much prefer to have at least one non-weekend day off, if not both. Less people out and about during the week when you're wanting to do things.

@ernmander@squatch.online I used Ice a while back, but haven't in a while. Hidden Bar isn't updated any longer, which is why I switched to Hidden Bar Revised. It's a fork and updated regularly. I also tried Bartender and it wasn't working either. I really hope they get this fixed. All my icons showing is killing my OCD.

@dhry@mastodon.social While yes, it can be implied that way, and I won't argue that, my reviews are all my own personal opinion and how I see things or how I feel about things. That's something that should be understood with any article on my site. But good call out, as it's feedback and criticism like this that I want to hear about. I want the site to be as good as possible and I want people reading it. So I do appreciate you taking the time just read even a portion of it.

I truly don't appreciate it, just like nobody else would, unless they knew what you were saying were actually true. Like I said, I've been doing this for 15 years, long before AI was around. So to anyone who accuses people of doing it when they aren't, those people can go fuck themselves.

@ernmander@squatch.online Like I said, the Mac was super quick for me. It's usually the other way around. Sadly, hiding of menubar icons is still broken on beta 3 for me. It's the one thing I was hoping to see a fix for.

I started in the lumberyard outside for the first 2-years. Then I got moved inside and never looked back. Got into a management a year after that.

Did some cleanup on my feed over the last of couple of days. Figured out there were some folks that I didn't want nor need to see their bullshit any longer, so that's taken care of. It's crazy how you think some folks are good people, and then suddenly they show their true colors by things they say, things they do, things they post or whatever. It's like it changes over night. Seems to be a pretty regular occurrence, unfortunately.

@Ronnie@mastodon.social Oh totally. I'm so thankful I have that experience. Lots of people can't do that type of stuff, so I was blessed that I could. But I don't miss it today. I much prefer my work at home job where I'm in the AC all day sitting at a chair typing on a keyboard.

Pretty upsetting that people think something is written by AI just because "everyone is using it" in today's world. Those of us that have been blogging for 15+ years supposedly can't write on our because everyone believes AI has taken over everything. Sad and disgusting.

@dhry@mastodon.social As stated, images were created with AI, and sorry, so was the alt-text for said images. The only other thing that was AI was the code for the social media buttons at the bottom of the page to get them all on a single line. The article/review itself is not AI. Also, for images and such, I don't use Claude, and never will.

@Ronnie@mastodon.social Yep, I did that as well. I also worked where we had to deliver 1 1/2-inch x 20ft sheetrock into office buildings. Taking it into elevators and such. Hated life doing that stuff.
