Way too many years ago, when Godhunter was first conceived, it was the germ of an idea for a game. In the game, a character would have to go around collecting angel swords, which each did something different depending on the angel they came from. Raphael's sword, for example, could only heal whatever it pierced.
Just got into the top 100 for two of my genre categories (pictured is the "Paranormal Angel Romance" category), and I'm currently pretty pleased about it. I have my sights set on the top ten eventually, but I'll take 42 today, yes I will. 😁 🎊 🥂

The one I’m working on now? 🤷♀️ I’m sure someone could find some trope or other, but to be honest, I’m tired of even looking for them. I’ve never written with tropes in mind, and marketing with them got me nowhere. So I’ve decided to go back to not thinking about them at any stage.
Related to my recent boost about book-club scams: Here's the email I received yesterday from my website's contact form. It just reeks of AI, IMO. 😝

Just finished my first short story in years, and I'm trying to decide whether it makes sense to ask for beta readers. The story is science fiction and only about 4,800. Do you short story authors have regular beta readers?

Yes, but not under this pen name. I love all the characters in A Tyranny of Angels. The character I really hated creating was someone I didn’t bother to name or describe except for what was strictly necessary. He didn’t deserve my time and effort, so I didn’t give it to him.
