  My issue with nuclear power isn't that I'm scared of it, it's that it's a source of power that's very convenient right now in exchange for a lot of problems later down the line and I know enough about human nature to know that if we don't work on a sustainable alternative right away, we're never going to until it's too late.   If it seems like autistic people tend to make a big deal about being autistic... well, mostly that's just because if we don't people will just assume we're 'just weird', but at least speaking personally if I don't remind myself I'm autistic at least once a week, I'll start beating myself up for struggling with [insert everyday task here] as though I don't literally have "struggles with [insert everyday task here]"-disorder.

  The funniest aspect of art made by trans people is how obvious the metaphor can be without cis people clueing in to what's going on until it's literally spelled out for them.   One aspect of social media bans and OS age restrictions for teenagers that I haven't seen brought up as much is just how profoundly insulting they are. Like, teenagers have been RUNNING forums, chatrooms and microblogging instances and been maintaining operating system distros pretty much since it was remotely possible for them to do so. To then have legislators turn around and treat you like a child, barring you from something you helped create is just the height of arrogance.

  The reason I like witchcraft even though I'm a sceptic at heart is cus the model you have for how magic works don't really impact the practice much. The power of suggestion is a thing, the beneficial effects of meditation is a thing, the minds ability to find pattern in noise is a thing and the usefulness of ritual is definitely a thing, none of those really requires the existence of anything demonstrably supernatural.
