Theorizing about Deltarune is fun cus you can have more hits than misses than your average youtube essayist by simply playing the game and reading what the text says.

What seems to help a lot is if you keep in mind the genre the story is in. Cus like, as weird as Undertale/Deltarune gets, it never really stops being being a coming of age/adventure story, barring perhaps some horror elements here and there. Considering your theory from the lens of "would this make a satisfying plot point in a coming of age adventure story?" really ups your batting average significantly.
