One aspect of social media bans and OS age restrictions for teenagers that I haven't seen brought up as much is just how profoundly insulting they are. Like, teenagers have been RUNNING forums, chatrooms and microblogging instances and been maintaining operating system distros pretty much since it was remotely possible for them to do so. To then have legislators turn around and treat you like a child, barring you from something you helped create is just the height of arrogance.
