The King in Yellow is my favorite "fictional book that will drive you insane with eldritch knowledge" cus it's not a musty tome of magic, it's a play and presumably written to be performed on at least some level. The idea of giving a bunch of actors The Script That Will Drive You Insane is one of those things that's really funny at first and become gradually more horrifying the more you start thinking about the implications. Perfect premise for a cosmic horror story in other words.
