One thing about english as a second language that I find pretty cute is when someone is good enough at english that they can narrate and hold lengthy conversations in the language on a fluent level, but they don't have access to the more subtle ways of showing emotions and nuance that comes from it being your native language, and as such they end up having a slightly theatrical affect when speaking the language. (I say they as if this isn't exactly how I speak when speaking in English, tho I think I'm usually more on the monotone side than the "community theatre version of myself" side.)
