Fundamentele rechten, zoals de privacy, vrijheid en soevereiniteit van kinderen, ouders en opvoeders zijn onvoldoende gewaarborgd. Ed-tech is voornamelijk closed source en zit vol vendor lockins. Producten zijn te duur, verzamelen te veel gegevens of beide.
