#BikeNite A1: I'm back in #WaterlooRegion for a change. The big non-cycling happening is "driving". I've needed to go to Burlington/Oakville about once a week for the last few months, and I'm so fed up with driving. The trip is about 100km; I used to drive more than that to work every day. Lots of updates to #WaterlooRegion's municipal candidate info! https://poliblog.jonkman.ca/Poliblog-Elections/2026-10-26-Municipal-Election/ It's just over two months into the campaign with less than two months to the close of candidate registrations (21 August). I'm a bit alarmed at how many positions still have no candidates, and the many incumbents who have not declared whether they're running, not running, or still thinking it over. It's a big disservice to others who might consider running if they knew the incumbent isn't. #ONpoli #WRpoli
