La bozza finale di un possibile accordo tra gli Stati Uniti e l'Iran, mediato dal Pakistan, dovrebbe essere resa nota nelle prossime ore. Lo riporta la televisione Al Arabiya secondo cui il testo prevederebbe nove punti, tra cui un cessate il fuoco immediato, completo e incondizionato su tutti i fronti. Garantita anche la libertà di navigazione nel Golfo Persico, nello Stretto di Hormuz e nel Mar di Oman. Entrambe le parti si impegnano a non colpire strutture militari, civili o economiche.
La bozza richiama al rispetto della sovranità e dell'integrità territoriale, oltre che alla non interferenza negli affari interni. Se l'intesa fosse firmata, verrebbe istituito un meccanismo congiunto per il monitoraggio e la risoluzione delle controversie. Entro sette giorni inizierebbero inoltre le trattative sulle questioni rimaste in sospeso. Le sanzioni statunitensi all'Iran inizierebbero a essere gradualmente revocate in cambio del rispetto delle condizioni concordate.
I termini chiave dovrebbero includere: cessate il fuoco immediato, completo e incondizionato su tutti i fronti, compresi terra, mare e aria; impegno reciproco a non colpire infrastrutture militari, civili o economiche; fine delle operazioni militari e stop alla guerra mediatica; impegno a rispettare la sovranità, l'integrità territoriale e la non ingerenza negli affari interni; garantire la libertà di navigazione nel Golfo Persico, nello Stretto di Hormuz e nel Golfo dell'Oman; meccanismo comune per monitorare l'attuazione e risolvere le controversie; revoca graduale delle sanzioni statunitensi in cambio dell'impegno dell'Iran a rispettare i termini dell'accordo. I negoziati sulle questioni in sospeso dovrebbero iniziare entro sette giorni. La bozza di accordo ribadisce il rispetto del diritto internazionale e della Carta delle Nazioni Unite. L'accordo entrerà in vigore immediatamente dopo l'annuncio ufficiale da parte di entrambe le parti.
