I'm interested in all sorts of stuff.... Amateur Radio - CW and HF mostly, but I often take a detour into other areas of the hobby. Calculators - as long as they use RPN Music - I noodle on recorder, mandolin and guitar Diary Keeping - I write a daily diary and include small sketches and other ephemera to illustrate my own life-story.... Chess - I'm a rank amateur playing only for fun and only against close friends Anything geeky or nerdy....

I'm up in #shetland and have been resurrecting my #amateurradio interest recently, so I thought it was an ideal time to re-connect to the world via Mastodon, too.
I've also started a #peertube account with #makertube to put up the occasional radio-related video.

A £2 cap on single adult and child bus fares has been introduced in #Shetland from today (30 January) as part of a 12-month #Scottish Government pilot. The Regional Bus Fare Cap Pilot aims to make bus travel more affordable, attractive and easier to plan. The scheme is being rolled out in phases across the ZetTrans and HiTrans areas, beginning in Shetland, with further expansion across the Highlands and Islands to follow. #Transport Secretary Fiona Hyslop said the pilot delivers a key Budget commitment and supports fairer, more accessible public transport. ZetTrans chair Councillor Moraig Lyall said the cap could encourage more people to use buses and improve travel options for those without access to a car.
