I had missed the last update that @MakerTube@mastodon.social was switching to a paid subscription model, to help cover the costs. But, I saw a Toot about it just now, and... I set up my subscription (with some efforts, as my brain fog 😶‍🌫️ was not helping me) plan, which now shows up on my profile info, so I guess I did it right! My little space on #MakerTube is currently using ±30GB. The plan I entered will support to 100GB, so... I should be OK to share more Koa vids (among others) for some time to come! 😁 https://makertube.net/a/pixys_vids/video-channels Thanks to the Admin and Mods of MakerTube.net for keeping the site ad-free and well moderated/updated. I'm also thinking of a subscription model for MakerTube like Spectra is discussing it. Price increase at Hetzner's is hitting us quite hard (roughly +30%) and I don't know how to cover costs for future storage increase. Sadly I must say that the donation based approach has its limits. A good portion of the costs are covered by early adopters even though we see a constant growth in the user base. Wdyt? #peertube #makertube #finance #donations #hetzner #hosting #costs

Based on today's news about Persona and Twitch, I think I'll try streaming only to MakerTube today. I've wanted to see if multi-casting might be the issue with my connection. We'll learn whether that's the case today! My stream will be on MakerTube only this time, and we'll give that a shot! I'll be doing a Red Panda in Procreate.
