Howdy Y'all! it's #introduction time! I'm Lauren, she/her, over 30, neurodivergent, chronically-ill, furry/anthro :moomin_happy: A visual artist trained in traditional mediums and digital art programs. I enjoy drawing masks or respirators on my fursona and original characters (OCs), as well as drawing masks onto already existing memes, so I'll be uploading those here ✅️ I'm looking for a more COVID realistic community online. Exhausted by being the only one in public wearing a mask :capoopleading: Interests & hobbies: art history, animation/anime, animals, comics/manga, disaster shows, fitness, monster hunter, farm sims, racing games, mythology, nature, motorsports, solo sports, and retro tech My favorite masks so far are bifolds with head straps + nose foam, duckbills with head straps, and medium-size respirators. I currently own a 3M half face respirator and a Forged Air respirator. I still don't get how the whole injecting cis men with extra testosterone regardless of endocrine balance doesn't bring about thoughts of gender affirming care to conservatives in the US. If your supposedly god given gender and sex are imperfect, and you choose to manipulate it, even in pursuit of a "more manly" physique, is that not making your own gender choice? If you make that choice, you're still broadly cis, but you've fundamentally changed your expression in most cases. In that case, if the whole hormonal boosters idea took effect, you've created a "hypermale" or "alpha male" or whatever as a new identity and expression. Congratulations, conservatives, you've created your own gender. Your inflamed thyroid and shrinking testicles applaud you. You didn't even have to medically alter yourself to reach a "more male" conclusion, yet you felt better by pursuing that. The level of hypocrisy and selfishness exhibited by bigots is lost upon them, but not upon the subjects of their "adoration". If you happen to find labels that fit better as you go along on your gender(and sexuality)journey, it's more than okay to then discard old labels. It's okay to try a new label for a while, and then decide to go back to others too! It's *your* journey.
