Trip: On June 20, I took the Bronx River bike path to Valhalla, to the dam, and then took South County Trail back to Manhattan. On my way to Bronx River, I stumbled upon a bike race around Marcus Garvey Park. Well, I dressed like a racer, except for my camera and handlebar bag. Racers don't need those, which don't help with racing. Some film pics for #WellyWednesday #Ponekepics after getting my B&W rolls developed -

the Kodak 400TX shot with the Yashica B was pretty well exposed but I missed focus a few times and had a few sub-optimal compositions.
the Fomapan 400 was a bit of a disaster, first half accidentally shot at ISO200 so metering was off, and then the Pentax MX rewind got stuck so I opened the back to unblock it but it just turned out to need a little extra force to pull the film through - lost a few shots mid-roll due to that glitch. #ishootfilm

Und btw ich kannte die ContaxG2 nicht, habe aber schnell mal gegoogelt: Die Kamera ist auch eine wahre Schönheit. Thank you, the Contax G2 really is a lovely camera. I don’t use it often enough and sometimes think about selling it. It’s a rather unusual camera – a rangefinder, so to speak, but thanks to its speed, it’s just as much a point-and-shoot. And thanks to its unrivalled lens, it’s also a real portrait powerhouse. ( A 45mm, rather than the usual 50mm.) And the lens is, of course, world-famous for being razor-sharp (it’s so sharp that I sometimes see it as a drawback… not a single wrinkle escapes this powerhouse) But this photo itself was taken with an Olympus Pen EES-2 Yes, you can hold my camera for a moment ;) On the same day as this pic : https://pixelfed.social/p/LievenSymaeys/963458140386775580 I took a moment to scroll through the archive. #onfilm made with an #Olympus #Pen #halfframe. Super expired film, shot in late May, finally got to scan. Film: Kodak Gold Max 800, expired in early 2000s. The negatives are kind of thin even when I overexposed 3 stops, rating it EI 100. Well, faster films are less stable. From my trip in early June. I rode almost the full length of Queens Blvd from Queensboro Bridge to Flushing. Kodak Gold Max 800 expired early 2000s, rated EI 100.
