So it's finally my turn to do one of these: I'm looking for something different from my current employer. I'm coming up on 8 years experience as a systems and security engineer, and my primary focuses include network and endpoint security, vulnerability management, Linux administration, virtualization and project management. I also have experience coordinating with ISMS, infrastructure/datacenter architecture and working with BSI and IEC 62443 standards. Ideally i'd prefer to work remote full-time for an EU-based company, but i'd be fine to travel occasionally within south Germany. I have a friend who is a software engineer and is a fan of trains (i.e. open data). They are looking for a job in and around NRW, Germany. They can work with just about any modern language other than Haskell and COBOL. So it finally happened: My job is now mandating generative ai use. They can’t define what that means, but they’ll be damned if they aren’t going to punish us anyway. Anyone out there looking for a telecom/network engineer? Remote preferred, but happy to go hybrid in Detroit area for the right place.
