Meet Amaille. In 2023, she started planting trees alongside her crops in Nyarusange, Rwanda. Today, those trees protect her fields from erosion, hold moisture in the soil, and naturally boost her crop yields. The extra income has changed everything. Out of curiosity, I tried to find the option to turn off @ecosia@mastodon.social 's AI features. The first thing I pressed (paperclip at the bottom left of the search field) brought up this dialog. What does it take to prepare thousands of trees for planting? 🌴 In West Bengal, India, our partners at Symagine Solutions are getting ready for the planting season. Community members help raise and distribute seedlings, and community leaders (many of them women) train others in how to plant and care for them 🌱 Households receive a small number of saplings at a time, so each tree can get the care it needs.
