I like #classicrock, #hardrock and #heavymetal, especially from the late 60s and the 70s. But sometimes I listen to very different genres, from #deathmetal and #folk to #classicalmusic. I love walks in #nature, especially when there are blueberries and blackberries to pick along the way... and #mushrooms to find! 4/5

Working for the Weekend Warriors: Loverboy Formed in Calgary in 1979, Loverboy defined early 80s Canadian rock with their high-energy sound, tight red leather pants, and signature headbands. With massive hits like 'Turn Me Loose' and the anthem 'Working for the Weekend,' they dominated Canadian radio and won six Juno Awards in 1982 alone—a record that stood for over 30 years. #Canada #Loverboy #80sMusic #ClassicRock 🇨🇦 https://www.loudersound.com/features/loverboy-canadian-band-story

I think of all the classic but rare synthesiser excesses the Yamaha GX-1 must top the list. When introduced in 1975 it cost $60,000 (circa $420,000 in today’s money), weighed 272 kg and really was just made as a luxury, very limited availability test concept and sold to seriously well off musicians (i mean polyphonic in 1975 was a rarity and with both horizontal and vertical after-touch). Keith Emerson is playing one in the promo for ELP's Fanfare for the Common Man. He broke his, bought John Bonham's one which then was trashed when a runaway tractor ploughed into the barn(!) Keith was keeping it in so he then bought Hans Zimmer's GX-1. #synth #ClassicRock #ClassicSynths https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamaha_GX-1

#NowPlaying The Who “Live at Leeds” This is the new 2LP 45rpm 180g AP all analogue cut from the original masters. Gone is the flimsy-ass file-folder sleeve, and now a beautiful gatefold It even comes with a packet of cool ephemera. The downside of 45rpm tho… 2 songs a side. Highly flippy. But the audio quality is great. Not a lot of live recordings from this era sound good. This not only sounds great, but it’ll get you moving! #TheWho #LiveAtLeeds #ClassicRock #RealMusicByRealMusicians

New #review today: "As a budding keyboard player in the 70s, I really loved the sound of an overdriven #HammondOrgan I heard in bands like #DeepPurple and #UriahHeep, and it’s obvious that a lot of other people did too — and still do. #Gjenferd is a band from Bergen that’s a shining example of a modern band with that classic sound as their primary influence." #ExposeOnline #PsychedelicRock #ClassicRock #OrganRock http://expose.org/index.php/articles/display/gjenferd-black-smoke-rising-2.html

Canada's Party Band: Trooper For decades, Trooper has been known as 'Canada's Greatest Party Band.' Formed in Vancouver, their straightforward, feel-good rock produced a string of hits in the 70s that are now Canadian classics, including 'Raise a Little Hell,' 'We're Here for a Good Time (Not a Long Time),' and 'The Boys in the Bright White Sports Car.' #Canada #Trooper #ClassicRock #CanadianMusic 🇨🇦 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trooper_(band)
