Lukuvuoden aloitus onnistui uudesta tukikohdasta oikein hyvin. Sotkin Bromptonilla menemään 6,8 km ajassa 18:06. Toki oli tuuria liikennevalojen kanssa, mutta silti. Vain yksi autoilija rikkoi (taas) räikeästi väistämisvelvollisuuttaan. Hän oli näemmä sitä mieltä, että vaikka tulee kolmion takaa ja vieläpä kääntyy niin suoraa tietä posottavaa pyöräilijä ei tarvi väistää. No, peruskauraa, this is Finland. I take a short rest next to the Baltic Sea in Stockholm, Sweden, and enjoy the view. Out there, the ferry fom Tallin, Estland, is coming in. A few minutes ago, I passed by a group of kindergarden kids. They laughed, when they saw the old man bicycling on a kid's bike. I stopped for a minute and showed them the magic Brompton folding. And deep inside my brain I am content: I have finally switched to GrapheneOS. #Brompton #BikeTooter.

"Oh, wie schön ist Panama" said the bear to the tiger in a child story written by the German author Janosch. I used to read this story to my daughter many decades ago. "Oh, how nice is Panama", I was thinking today. Here must be Panama, even I knew it was just a couple of kilometers away from my home in Stockholm, Sweden. Later at home, I checked the phrase in Wikipedia. Then I remembered: In Janosch's story, Panama is just a synonym for one's home. #Brompton #BikeTooter

Gestern spätnachmittag bin ich mit dem #BromptonElectricGLine von Zürich zum alljährlichen (dieses Jahr wieder wegen #Waldbrandgefahr Nicht-)Grilltreff der @lugschweiz@net.miaumuh.ch nach Winterthur geradelt und nachts auch wieder zurück. Zusammen waren's 54km und 387hm. Hatte zwar zur Sicherheit 'nen zweiten Akku dabei, aber der erste ging erst kurz vor zuhause leer. Letzte Nacht noch um den Flughafen geradelt, insofern 82km und 606hm innert 24h. #Rausgeschafft #Brompton #GLine #BromptonGLine #mdRddG #LUGS

Reisevorbereitungen. Der erste Versuch, einen Rucksack auf dem hinteren Gepäckträger des Bromptons zu befestigen hat grundsätzlich funktioniert, überzeugt aber nicht vollständig. Wird wohl auf eine Querstange hinten am Sattel montiert 'rauslaufen, über den der Rucksack mit den Schultergurten gehängt wird. #Brompton #Radtour

Die beste Anschaffung dieses Jahr war das Leih #Brompton über die #Bahn, kostet 41€ pro Monat und macht einen Ultra Mobil. Ich kann es nur empfehlen, für alle die sich nicht sicher sind, oder nur Testen wollen, ob #Pendeln mit #Bahn und Rad nicht eine Option sind. Denn für ein Faltrad müsst ihr kein extra Ticket buchen. Das Brompton kommt mit einem mittleren Lenker, 6 Gängen und ist ansonsten verkehrssicher mit einer Lichtanlage ausgestattet.

The public transport system in Stockholm is perfect for exploring the surroundings of the capital of Sweden. The diameter of the area reachable with single tickets is more than 100 km. A single ticket costs just around 4€, or just 2.30 € for pensioners. A folding bike goes for free everywhere. Ordinary bikes can be taken for free on commuter trains, except during rush hours. Buying a ticket and exploring the network is easy with the "SL app Stockholm". #Brompton #BikeTooter
