But I would like to point out that this tools don't have federation and the org behind them are the only o es to manage the servers. From an user side, there is no difference between them and a proprietary solution, your account lifetime is dependent of the good wills of this orgs. Signal has killed my account because one day they decided that not using the main device isn't good enough, after few years.
