@mweiss@infosec.exchange Nope. As in the county of Mayo in Ireland who won the All Ireland football final at the weekend after 75 years since they last won in. Many attributing that lack of wins to a curse that was placed on the winning team in 1951 for not paying their respects to a funeral as they were driving back to their country to celebrate their win. Interesting story of an Irish company falling victim to BEC fraud. Criminals hijacked an employee’s email account in the victim company. They then used that account to send payment instructions to the company’s outsourced financial admin company. The victim company lost €2 million.

The victim company is now suing the payments company on the basis that the payment company should have spotted that the emails were fraudulent
