I suppose an #introduction post is long overdue. My name is PJ van Mill (pjvm for short; 'they'). I'm working as a doctorand/PhD-student at Maastricht University, in mathematical operations research. I am interested in lots of other things. Two big ones for me are psychology, where I mostly engage with niches that are critical of mainstream psych, and leftist political analysis, where currently most of what I read is from an anarchist perspective. I'm also into some areas of law, namely copyright law and Dutch law on associations and other legal persons. I try to promote digital autonomy and I like simple and well-designed software. I love classical music; I sing in two classical choirs in Maastricht and I like to do classical improvisation on keyboard instruments. I do some volunteer work for my choirs; for one of them I am currently a board member. I also make sheet music sometimes. I have a website and a gemini capsule, for which I try to write stuff (I have a lot of stuff in my head that I have yet to get out into text) and where you can find some sheet music as well. What else... well, I am some kind of queer, but it's all a bit vague, uncertain and hard to explain or label. One aspect that has more or less crystallised is that I really don't like it when people make gendered assumptions about me, and I would hesitantly label myself as agender. I'm also autistic; currently not pursuing a formal psychiatric diagnosis. Lastly, I suppose quite an important thing for me is that I grew up christian and am now agnostic. I'm not very active on here; I read a lot of other people's posts but rarely make my own. I kind of want to change that, spend less time reading and more time interacting. #mathematics #Maastricht #ZuidLimburg #psychology #anarchism #law #foss #classicalMusic #personalWebsite #gemini #geminiProtocol #queer #agender #actuallyAutistic #agnosticism
