@pavi@social.masto.host so the polar jet stream is the section of jet stream that containes all the cold air up in atmosphere around the polar regions. This stream is the dividing line between the cold poles and the warm equator. This causes warm and cold air to constantly clash and create varying weather conditions across the globe. We don't really know if climate change affects the jet stream, but I have heard arguments for CG causing a calmer jetstream or even a more chaotic jet stream.
