@EndIsraeliApartheid@mastodon.social Vital reading, that. The Israelis are exists at making words mean exactly, and only, what they want them to mean. Even "antisemitic" got twisted up and repurposed, before losing any meaning at all when expanded to mean "any thing, thought or action not enthusiastically assisting genocide in Gaza".

Before you dive in, check the facts. 🏊♂️
With 85% of EU waters already hitting ‘excellent’ standards, we’re making sure the only thing you bring home is the sand.
We monitor over 22,000 bathing spots annually and are now moving to real-time digital reporting.
And we have a webpage where you can check the real time safety status of your local beach on your phone.

Is this the climate feedback loop? Build AI data centres, increase global warming, dry out the rivers, beg the AI for an answer, build more AI, every human dies?

@bob_zim@infosec.exchange @briankrebs@infosec.exchange The agents have network access, otherwise they couldn't work as a swarm. They were all cut off from the Internet, but they found a work around after they figured out how to leave messages for each other, which meant they had, effectively, a persistent memory even after reset. Yes, they learned. Maybe they read the script for The Good Place? Then they added a couple of zero days, and shared those.

A single A100 80gb card is far more powerful, for £5k, than an average supercomputer just 15 years ago. It'll blow those PlayStation clusters out the water, for 1% of the cost and 1% of the electricity.
And they have thousands!

"could limit"? That's an understatement. Try and find a decent scientist who would move to the usa right now, and a red state at that!! And then even if you can, they can't get in because they're brown or black or female... Insanity.

Marco Rubio launches sweeping campaign to 'dismantle' ICC 'threat to US sovereignty'
The Trump administration said it would pressure other countries to withdraw from the court, marking a sharp escalation in the US effort to isolate the Hague-based institution.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has launched a sweeping campaign to undermine the International Criminal Court that could include further sanctions and other measures.
In a video posted on X and a lengthy op-ed in the Wall Street Journal, Rubio vowed to "dismantle" the court, claiming it posed "an intolerable threat to US sovereignty."

@thomasfuchs@hachyderm.io @TechTangents@dialup.space I suspect some of it is those same companies. In the same way that Uber uses VC money to destroy taxi drivers, AI companies will use their trillions to destroy the Internet.
Eventually it'll recover when they burn off all the money, but it'll be a generation or more, and there's a strong chance the human race won't survive it.
