Sohn muss für ein Spiel Windows starten und versucht auf den NAS zu zugreifen. DNS löst den Servernamen nicht auf. Nur auf der Konsole. Netzwerk funktioniert angeblich einwandfrei, richtiger DNS-Resolver steht in der Konfig. Was ist #Windows11 doch für ein Kack! Zum Glück läuft bis auf das eine Spiel alles unter #Linux.

Ich hab bei meiner Frau Windows10 mit #Windows11 neu aufgesetzt. Bei der Installation war nur ein Microsoft Konto für einen Benutzer zugelassen. Also habe ich eine Anmeldung mit einem Microsoft Konto durchgeführt. Anschließend habe ich mit dem Benutzer einen zweiten Admin angelegt. Dort ist dann ein lokales Konto möglich. Damit habe ich dann das Microsoft Konto am Laptop entfernt. Und nein, sie mag kein Linux.

As I was doing the intake for a migration from Windows 11 to a Linux (undecided which, although Mint is leading the charge), yesterday, I got to use Windows 11 for the first time in my life. Now, I heard so many times about just how bad Win11 is, but nothing could have prepared me for the absolute shit show that is Microsoft's modern OS. I honestly feel sorry for anyone who is forced to use it for any reason. Like, I think I might prefer using WindowsME over that. #Windows #Windows11 #Enshittification #LinuxMigration
