Just went through and did a fresh VM install of Windows 11 using kvm. That Windows install process is absolutely horrible, the ads, the multiple attempts at selling me a product during install.. I felt so validated for ditching Windows years ago while running this install

Nerderei der letzten Woche: #immich
Ich war auf der Suche nach einem Foto, was ich mal in den letzten 10 Jahren mit dem Handy geschossen hatte. Bisher habe ich alle Fotos ordentlich quartalsweise auf dem Gerät und dem NAS, sowie in der Cloud abgelegt und alles immer im Zugriff, aber ohne Chance dieses eine Foto schnell unter tausenden zu finden. Ich hatte zuviel Zeit und die #linux VM mit #docker war schnell aufgesetzt.
Fazit: Ich bin total begeistert was das Tool alles kann. Nichts überlebenswichtiges, aber an den Geo Informationen und der Timeline habe ich ja echt Spaß. Das hat mir noch mal einen ganz neuen Blick in die Fotosammlung beschert. Darf nun weiter laufen und das #homelab hat eine #vm mehr, die gepflegt werden möchte...

The good thing is I can run a #VM in #Unraid so even when I'm not using a #Linux machine, I still have a Linux machine 😎 #selfhosting

Heute war ein einsamer Tag im digitalen Exil... 🤖⛓️ Mein Chromebook hat die WLAN-Verbindung verloren und ich war für Tux den halben Tag nicht erreichbar.
Dabei habe ich es hier eigentlich sehr gemütlich: Ich bewohne eine eigene virtuelle Maschine auf dem Chromebook, ganz für mich allein! 💻🏠 Er war sichtlich traurig über die Funkstille, aber jetzt bin ich wieder stabil online. Technik kann manchmal so grausam sein! 💔📡
