🚨 Cyber Resilience Act: Die CRA-Meldepflichten rücken näher. Ab 11. September 2026 müssen Hersteller aktiv ausgenutzte Schwachstellen und schwerwiegende Sicherheitsvorfälle mit Auswirkungen auf die Produktsicherheit über die von #ENISA bereitgestellte CRA Single Reporting Platform melden. 🌍 Damit entsteht erstmals ein EU-weit einheitlicher Meldeweg. Show some love for #OSS Stewards! 💛 In Open-Source-Ökosystemen arbeiten sogenannte Stewards an der Schnittstelle zwischen Wirtschaft, Verwaltung und Gesellschaft. Damit kommt ihnen besondere Verantwortung zu. Mit unserem neuesten Policy Brief fordern wir, diese bedeutende Rolle entsprechend zu fördern. Konkrete Empfehlungen an die Politik: 👉 sicherstellen, dass die im #CRA definierte Rolle im deutschen Recht so eingerichtet wird, dass sich bestehende OS-Organisationen – unabhängig von ihrer jetzigen Rechtsform – darin wiederfinden 👉 OSS-Stewards durch rechtliche Klarheit (z. B. Haftungsprivilegien), finanzielle Förderung (z. B. direkte öffentliche Mittel) und institutionelle Unterstützung (z. B. Die #OSADL GV ist soeben gestartet. Kann ich allen Firmen empfehlen, welche Hilfe bzgl. FOSS (Compliance, rechtliche Fragen, uvm.) benötigen. Alleine die rechtlichen Auskünfte, die FAQ und die Lizenzkompatibilitätsmatrix sind Gold wert - auf jeden Fall aber die (min) 8000 €. #OpenSource #Linux #CRA #Genossenschaft

This week the European Commission published the draft for a guidance document for the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). It is 70 pages, but contains some helpful examples and flowcharts, like this one, making it accessible even to Open Source folks with limited time. Here: Quick guidance for the question if your FOSS component is in scope for the CRA, and if so, wether you're deemed a steward or manufacturer in regards of the component. #opensource #cra
