Am... am flabbergasted.... b TWICE in less than a year... two plotters.. asked me what are blackberries for!! good grief!! one, an immigrant, was amazed when I told him they're edible and delicious, he made a disgusted face.... the other a local with the plot right next to mine, also asked what are they for. I said they're edible and delicious and grown all around you; offered one fruit from a box I'd just filled in from the nearby bushes, she made a face and refused. Goodness gracious me. I rest my case. Am not telling them am having a handful of them in goat yogurt, for breakfast, lest they run away in fright. Picked up some new potatoes over a couple of weeks; thanks to blackbirds digging for worms, they pull them up clean and tidy. nice. #allotment #food #blackbirds #potatoes #yogurt #breakfast #blackberries

Deer Snacks 🦌 ➡️ It's blackberry season and deer are frequent visitors to snack on an easy meal. They also love apples. I took a break from posting, feel like I'm hitting a ceiling with photography lately. I've also find that picking a photo, writing a post, selecting hashtags is my least favorite part haha. Today's #run couldn't be complete without a glycogen resupply break, at a large patch of wild #blackberries on a forest clearing. Being too hasty, I got pricked by one of the thorns while picking the berries, but it was worth it. :) The air temperature was great, the forest is still cooled down from recent rainstorms, so the run was 👌. #running #trailrun #SnackSaturday

😎 It's nice to have blackberries growing wild in my yard, but blackberry picking can be dangerous. The hundreds of tiny thorns hook on to your skin and can make you a bloody mess. 🧤But now I have my new protective sleeves making berry picking much easier. Tried them out today. Worked great!
