Just over a year ago our due date was May 1st. As a socialist I was into that but I was secretly hoping she'd come along on May 4th and forever be my Star Wars baby. Alas she came 5 days after that. Just thought I'd share that.

I won this USB numpad in the raffle at #Oggcamp2026. I thought I would have no use for it but it turns out it's a handy cheap alternative to a Stream Deck. I'll jazz it up with some stickers eventually.

Spent way too long getting NDI working so I could stream from a separate machine. It's almost bedtime but I feel like if I don't do at least 15 minutes of streaming I'll feel like I've cheated myself out of an evening.

Should be live in the next few minutes if nothing explodes.

Tonight I will be working on the space station docking system in my game to add some stuff other than just walking around in your ship and flying it through empty space. I'd like to livestream it to have some accountability. Let's see how the evening pans out and whether or not The Child cooperates. #godot #gamedev

For the record I'm not gonna be all like "ehrmehgehrd stop using blender immediately". On a personal level I just find it a bit tiresome that almost everywhere I look AI is involved in some way. If you wanna use it fine by me but I just genuinely find it more rewarding to grind away and learn something the ol' fashioned way. I use AI here and there as a summarisation tool for a difficult concept or to get some new ideas but the rest of the time I embrace the process of trial and error.
