Just realized I've been on Mastodon for three years now. Weird how quickly the time has gone. To all the people who live inside my computer, just want to say, thanks for being you.

Methinks this summer may be a good time to migrate over to a new instance, been thinking about making some changes around here in general and getting a bit frustrated with the experience on m.social. Stay tuned

I like to watch 90s and 2000s anime on my Trinitron CRT for that crisp authentic feel. Been trying to work through One Piece off and on but barely making any progress, I'm not sure the mega series are quite my thing with my flighty attention span ahaha

A problem I have with many communities is that the thing they're based around gets shut down, or the people involved drift away or lose interest. Bonds formed online can be tenuous, but I live in a rural area IRL so there aren't many options away from the internet. I just sort of lose the motivation to start over again after so long, and breaking into long-established social circles can be hard

I actually probably would have mentioned it in my original post if I didn't anticipate some pushback about the merits of proprietary code in business dealings. Not really my area of expertise either, but I feel like at least a free download of the software would ensure people could preserve the software & temper concerns about reverse engineering new versions of software, I guess. It should be considered the bare minimum, yet is so far from the norm
