Wario goes inside a telescope because some folktale elf thing told him there's an unlimited money cheat in the globe if he saves the world. This intrigues the Wario who doesn't even care about a princess being in there. No babes, just cash. Of course a certain other character is there to take advantage of the situation and may be manipulating things to her own ends. (I kind of see Captain Syrup as a Rouge meets Carmen San Diego type character) NOW WAGGLE YOUR WIIMOTES or if you're me you recently found a way to use a gyro controller to do the deed because constant battery usage sounds pretty dumb. Shake the moneybags like you're Marina from Mischief Makers and yank the inner garlic from your foes. This is essentially Wario Land 5 to me and I just need more treasure hunting in my life. I was thinking, what other games do I know that take place rummaging through our beloved Solar System. I had a pretty clear answer from a spacefaring game that's been long on my mind.

Let's take a DESCENT into it shall we? You can freely move in six directions, go ahead and wrap your head around it because that's effectively how space travel works when you're not just blasting out of an atmosphere I mean.

I'm gonna need a fucking joystick.

So I finally make it to the game's first boss which is as far as you get in the shareware and hot damn what a fight it is. And after all of that the game is now warning me you're in the thick of it for real and the music really gives it away.

A deep dark undertone that belies a mashup of an inspiration. We're talking Peer Gynt and his mother dying kind of shit. If I was going to make a fancy writing piece here would be a good place.

Shoutouts to all the dead mums out there.

I fucking miss you but I finally reached my virtual dream. I'm going to fucking Mars.
