@Phangurl@starbase80.wtf because he plays like an asshole. He is smart and quick thinking enough to know exactly when the referee can't see a foul and uses this ruthlessly. Same as the whole argentinian team btw. That foul that got one of them a red card in the final, could have led to serious injuries for the spanish player, especially on such a hard and bad quality field.

@sam@solent.social nice idea! I don't think there is a "works out of the box" option. But i found this: https://linux.die.net/man/1/autorun You should be able to install it, and put an executable file called autorun on the cd/dvd which gets executed. If you put the steam launch command for a specific game in that file, it should do what you want. (If i understood the manpage correctly) So, looks like it's possible without writing your own software.

@futurebird@sauropods.win when i hit a wall with searches, i would ask myself: "how would someone who has no clue about this topic search for this." That used to help sometimes, but now it doesn't matter how I word the search, it only takes into account the most common word, ignores everything around it and spits out the most common places where it shows up. Even listing pages that are clearly off topic instead of small sites. (Although i suspect that has to do with the sites using google AdSense or not.)

@cstross@wandering.shop this is really tough. Prohibition is mostly pointless. There are certainly fewer people who consume whatever substance it covers. But never zero, and it criminalizes a subtantial number of people. Free sale is also not great, especially if adverts are allowed. Big problem is the socialized cost of healthcare from addictive substance abuse. Maybe sell them, no ads, and tax calculated to cover expected healthcare and other costs they produce, and used exclusively to cover that?

One party gets the majority, and thats it. No matter if 75% wanted something different, if one gets 20% and all others 19% the 20% win the election. please someone correct me, this is only what i remember from school, and its been a while... :)
