Tempolimit? Finden alle Stadtbewohnenden super. Kostet sie ja auch nichts. Aber wie wäre es mit einer Pflicht zur Wärmesanierung aller Gebäude? Dazu die Pflicht, beim Heizen von Öl und Gas wegzukommen. Klimaschutzwirkung: um ein Vielfaches größer. Haken: Die Mieten würden explodieren. Vielleicht wird deshalb so ungern darüber gesprochen.

Ein Tempolimit auf Autobahnen für E-Autos, die großteils mit PV-Strom geladen werden, ist ungefähr so sinnvoll wie 30er-Zonen für E-Autos zur Abgasvermeidung. Und ja, Reifenabrieb habe ich einbezogen. 🤡
Von Verkehrsforschern wie Andreas Knie, die ihr ganzes Leben in Großstädten verbracht haben, erwarte ich keine Differenzierung mehr. Hauptsache das eigene Nahverkehrsticket ist günstig, querfinanziert von Leuten auf dem Land, die den ÖPNV gar nicht nutzen können.

Fiber broadband tariffs work as cross-subsidies. Every higher plan helps fund the smaller, more affordable ones. So if you can, just click that upgrade. To my knowledge, not a single end customer provider is currently profitable with fiber. Definitely true for Germany, but probably for other countries as well.

Die kostenlose Familienversicherung in der GKV war für mich neben der ideologischen Überzeugung immer ein Hauptgrund, nie in die PKV zu wechseln. Statt die Verwaltung der Kassen zu modernisieren, eine echte Bürgerversicherung durchzusetzen oder die aus GKV Werbemitteln finanzierten VIP-Sitze in Fußballstadien abzuschaffen, kommt die #SPD mit solchen Ideen um die Ecke. Na, vielen Dank auch. #PKV #GKV

Ein Tool, das analysiert, wie leicht sich deine Firma durch einen AI Skill ersetzen lässt. Sicher nicht immer richtig, aber erstaunlich oft ist was dran. Amüsant, aber auch ziemlich ernüchternd für viele Geschäftsmodelle. Inklusive Schätzung, wie lange es noch dauern könnte, und einer Abschiedsrede.

Hard work beats talent. That's especially true in IT jobs. So I really don't get why junior developers and admins rely so blindly on AI tools. You'll be the first ones to be replaced if you don't understand the fundamentals and know how to work with them.

Seriously though: I'd really love to go back to using Linux on the desktop. I used it for years and I manage it for my whole family with very little fuss.
But what I'd really miss are proper alternatives to:
🎬 Infuse (Jellyfin client)
🏦 MoneyMoney (Banking)
📋 WISO Steuer (Tax software)
🎵 Meta (MP3 tagging)
📅 Fantastical (Calendar)
📸 CleanShot (Screenshots)

@br_data @tagesschau @BR24 Was für ein schlechter Recherchejob vom BR. Viele Landwirte mit Betrieben haben schlicht und einfach keine Traktoren mehr. Manchmal besteht noch Betriebsvermögen in Form von Fläche, die z. B. verpachtet ist und wo es keinen Sinn macht, diese ins Privatvermögen zu überführen. Die Person, die diesen Artikel geschrieben hat, wusste das ganz bestimmt.
