@db @kentlew @letterror From my own experience, I’d say it takes about 2–3 years in a 3 bin system to get a considerable worm population. Some horse dung seems to have helped in my case, too.
Never had as many as my grandparents, though. Their compost has been sitting in the same place for decades. That’s it.

@fhardwig @koeberlin Das könnte stimmen! In den Listen mit chemischen Abkürzungen habe ich nichts gefunden und online-Wörterbücher mit Suchfunktion sind bei abgekürzten Begriffen wenig hilfreich. Ich setze mal ›Latein-Wörterbuch‹ auf meine Liste für die nächsten Antiquariatsbesuche.

@koeberlin Dieses Schildchen mit Am̄on.chlor.tot. kenne ich schon lange. Nur festgehalten hatte ich es nie, bis dein Post mich dran erinnert hat.
Die Schublade enthielt Ammoniumchlorid, würde ich sagen. Wofür der dritte abgetrennte Wortteil der Abkürzung steht? Ich frage beim nächsten Mal nach.

@mass_driver @glintveinlina As far as I know, there’s an open call for entries regarding the ‘yearbook of type’ with the spreads designed by Slanted. I tend to view it as a yellow-pages-like publication.
Years back, I worked on three ‘contemporary typefaces’ booklets, which used to be included with the bi-annual Slanted magazine. There was an internal selection process by editors beforehand, designers or foundries were then asked if they wanted their family to be included; no fees applicable.

Might have been the most important book right before and during my #EsadType studies. It still wears an additional dust jacket I made from paper to protect it.
Hopefully all the libraries of universities with type design programmes have multiple copies stocked, now that it’s out of print.
