The state of #RCS centralisation is quite sad: out of 87 carrier bundles in #iOS 27.0 beta 4 that indicate RCS support, 74 use Google Jibe.
A large benefit of the traditional telephony, SMS/MMS messages etc is that they're not centralised, one generally has multiple carriers in the area that can act as redundant options.
RCS is largely provided by a single entity :/
